Green light for green logistics
We attach great importance to sustainability and environmental protection. This begins with the small things such as using environmentally-friendly office equipment, and extends to the vehicles in our fleet. We always deploy environmentally-friendly technologies and strive to achieve the smallest-possible CO2 footprint. By implementing numerous measures at all our sites, we are already taking responsibility for current and future generations and the need to secure a greener future.
Our key measures at a glance:
- We record all CO2 emissions along the logistics chain on the basis of the DIN EN 16258:2013-03 norm. This means we can provide valid carbon-footprint values for each consignment.
- We adhere to the Euro-6- standard and use high-cube swap bodies.
- We continuously reduce fuel consumption through optimal route planning with high utilization of all vehicles. We avoid unladen journeys.
- We train our drivers, and for years have analysed their driving style using Fleetboard. The result speaks for itself: Rieck’s on-the-road fuel efficiency is constantly higher than its competitors in Germany.
- We regularly check truck tyre pressures and thereby save fuel.
- All sites are given advice on waste prevention and monitored by our own certified disposal company.
- All German sites of the Rieck Logistics Group are audited in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1.
