Quality management (QM) manuals are a thing of the past – we rely on a practiced quality culture with concrete, implementable rules for day-to-day work. After intensive preparatory work, we have introduced a new, standardized quality management system for all divisions of the Rieck Logistics Group. We have said goodbye to the previously used manuals with extensive QM specifications – because standards formulated in pages and pages alone do not generate improvements. We are now achieving more quality with our new concept and practical guidelines.

Our new system is coordinated by QM managers in each Rieck branch. Together with the central team and, of course, the site management, they work on anchoring the concept locally and bringing it to life in everyday working life.

Success times four
Our new QM system has already been the inspiration for four certification projects in recent months: we successfully completed the ISO 9001 recertification at Rieck Fulfillment Solutions in Berlin as a pilot project. We were also able to repeat this positive result with the ISO 9001 recertification of Rieck Projekt Kontrakt Logistik in Hamburg. In both projects, our new QM approach was very well received by all those involved – the auditor from the certification company as well as the participants from the branches – and was praised as “refreshing and helpful”.
We also successfully completed the re-certification of our Rieck waste disposal logistics in Neuss as a specialist waste disposal company. The test procedure covered our company organization as well as the reliability and expertise of our staff and compliance with official regulations.
The recently completed, first-time certification of the entire Rieck Logistics Group to ISO 27001 marks a real milestone for our company. We have thus created a uniform security basis throughout the Group in order to anchor information technology processes systematically, verifiably and transparently in our company.

For one and a half years, the entire management system was completely rebuilt and integrated into our organization. And the successful certification proves it: Challenge accepted – mission accomplished!
