Flensburg, September 21, 2015 – An exhibition of works by the artist Hans Christiansen (1866-1945), one of the most important representatives of Art Nouveau, is currently on display. The exhibition has already been shown in Darmstadt, Berlin and Munich. Our furniture and trade fair specialists have now organized the transport of the exhibits to the last stop, the Museumsberg Flensburg.
The retrospective opens in Flensburg on October 11. In addition to paintings and works of art, it shows the furnishings of Hans Christiansen’s house on the Mathildenhöhe, an artists’ colony in Darmstadt. The cargo was correspondingly extensive: Rieck transported room furnishings, glass windows, jewelry, paintings, textile art and ceramics in a truck and trailer from the Villa Stuck in Munich to Flensburg, the artist’s hometown. All the exhibits were packed well protected in 40 crates. The load was secured in the truck by a driver who has been working for Rieck for 25 years and who also brought this shipment safely to its destination.
