Berlin, April 2, 2014 – The Rieck Logistics Group has opened a location for air and sea freight services in Nuremberg. The branch started operations on April 1, 2014 under the management of Mariano-Eugen Krapf.

“We offer clients from the economically strong Nuremberg metropolitan region door-to-door transportation from a single source,” says Oliver-Karsten Thormählen, Managing Director of Rieck Sea Air Cargo. “Customers can contact our team directly for global supply chains.” All five employees have many years of experience in the coordination and handling of sea and air freight transportation. The new office is easily accessible – it is only a five-minute drive from Nuremberg Airport and three kilometers from the A3 freeway.

Bavaria is a strong exporter

Bavarian companies are very successful on the global markets. In 2013, their export sales rose to 167.8 billion euros, an increase of two percent compared to the previous year. Industrial companies in the Nuremberg area export around 40 percent of their products. China and the USA are particularly important customers. The demand for air and sea freight logistics is correspondingly high. Through its Chinese subsidiary Rieck Henco and as a partner of the global transport network TANDEM, Rieck offers complete logistics from a single source. “This enables us to ensure a uniformly high standard of service for our customers worldwide,” explains Oliver-Karsten Thormählen. “We may be new in Franconia, but we have over 20 years of experience with transportation between Germany and China.”

Worldwide by air and sea freight

In order to provide customers in Germany with the best possible advice, the logistics specialist is continuously expanding Rieck Sea Air Cargo’s network of locations. Rieck is currently represented with air and sea freight branches in Berlin, Dresden, Düsseldorf/Neuss, Frankfurt/Main, Hamburg, Munich and now also in Nuremberg. Rieck carries out the majority of its global air freight transports via Frankfurt/Main and Munich airports; worldwide sea freight transports depart from Hamburg.
