Großbeeren, 19.01.2023. Sascha Laßau joined the management of Rieck Systemspedition on January 9 – the Rieck Logistics Group is thus initiating the change in the management trio of the company’s forwarding division that will take place at the end of the year.
Since 2015, the experienced management trio Detlef Helsing, Michael Gruner and Christian Stuhr have been responsible for the management of Ulrich Rieck & Söhne Internationale Speditionsgesellschaft mbH & Co KG. Sascha Laßau is now a new member of the management team. He will take over from Detlef Helsing, who will retire at the end of the year, in the second quarter of 2023. “We are delighted to have found the perfect candidate for us so early on – this will enable a comprehensive induction and smooth handover,” says Detlef Helsing.
30 years of logistics know-how
From the ground up: Sascha Laßau (51) began his logistics career with an apprenticeship as a forwarding agent at Frachtenkontor GmbH, Duisburg. This was followed by a degree in transportation and logistics. He gained his first management experience at WM Group Bocholt as Sales Manager Contract Logistics. Sascha Laßau then moved to Schenker AG, Essen. Over the past five years, he has been a member of the management board with commercial power of attorney at the subsidiary Schenker Dedicated Services and was responsible for driving business development, development, implementation and operation of global 4PL / LLP solutions and the management of operational, tactical and strategic services.
Supporting operational growth
Sascha Laßau is currently familiarizing himself with the administrative and commercial responsibilities of Rieck Systemspedition. “With his sales expertise and management experience, Sascha Laßau will continue to drive Rieck forward in terms of sales and operations,” summarizes Philipp Strenge, Managing Partner of the Rieck Logistics Group. “We are thus focusing on both stability and perspective in the management.”

The Rieck Logistics Group is consistently continuing its operational growth course. With the opening of the new Berlin location in Oberkrämer, the forwarding division has significantly expanded its capacities and thus also reached a new scale for the entire company. Overall, the headquarters of Rieck Systemspedition in Großbeeren is now responsible for two locations in the Berlin metropolitan region and one location each in Dresden and Rostock.
