More Information

Sustainability Logistics is an integral part of our corporate philosophy

We take responsibility for a sustainable future. That is why we have established a comprehensive sustainability concept within the Rieck Logistics Group that permeates all areas of our company. Starting with the selection of environmentally friendly office materials to adjustments in our truck fleet, which consists of vehicles with the modern Euro 6 standard, are equipped with high-cube swap bodies, which allow more volume per trip and thus save emissions, as well as all new long-distance transport purchases have solar modules that support electricity consumption, thus contributing to fuel savings and reduction of fossil energy sources.

With intelligent route planning, high capacity utilization of our vehicles and the avoidance of empty runs, we are continuously reducing fuel consumption. Our efforts to make our company even more sustainable in the future are also reflected in the SAQ 5.0 certification, which we completed with an above-average industry rating of B 85 (in the area of “road freight transportation”). This rating identifies us as a particularly sustainable company in the demanding requirements of the automotive industry.

Our commitment to sustainability Logistics

A particular focus is on the intelligent use of digital technologies. We use Fleetboard to continuously analyze the driving behavior of our professional drivers. They receive regular training on fuel-efficient driving. The results speak for themselves: our fleet is well above the national average in terms of fuel efficiency. In addition, we regularly check the tire pressure of all vehicles – a seemingly small but effective contribution to CO2 reduction.

We also set standards in the area of waste disposal logistics. Our sites work closely with our own certified waste management company. This advises and monitors all processes for waste avoidance and recycling. Waste is separated consistently and residual materials are disposed of properly or recycled. Our German sites are also energy audited in accordance with the DIN EN 16247-1 standard and continuously checked for efficiency.

We use standardized emission calculations to create transparency about our CO2 emissions and record all CO2 emissions along our logistics chain in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 14083: 2023 standard. This provides our customers with valid values for the carbon footprint of their shipments. This data forms the basis for well-founded decisions in the supply chain – and promotes a shared awareness of sustainability. With our digital shipment information including track & trace, we offer our customers full control and maximum transparency in real time.
